Phillipe Nover replaces Rob Emerson to face Jake Murphy at HFC 8

It has been announced today, July 11th, that Hoosier Fight Club 8’s triple main event (Adam Ward vs Andy Main, Justin Ruggio vs Frank Lester, and Jake Murphy vs Rob Emerson) has made a slight change in the fight card.  Jake Murphy’s previous opponent, UFC/Ultimate Fighter 5 vet Rob Emerson has pulled out of the fight, however was replaced by UFC/Ultimate Fighter 8 vet, Phillipe Nover.

Jake Murphy is a product of Gilbert Grappling and now resides in New Mexico, training at Greg Jackson’s MMA.  Murphy’s last fight was at HFC 7 where he defeated Jeff Golden in a very one-sided decision.

Phillipe Nover is best known for being the favorited pick to win The Ultimate Fighter 8, and was even compared to Anderson Silva by UFC president Dana White, however fell short in his UFC career, losing to Efrain Escudero, Kyle Bradley, and Rob Emerson.

Hoosier Fight Club 8 will take place August 20th, at the Porter County Expo Center in Valparaiso, IN.  More info on the card to come soon.
