MAURICE GREEN VS. JEREMY MOORE

SATURDAY, APRIL 16TH IN MELROSE PARK

CHICAGO, IL (April 7, 2011) Fight Card Entertainment, Chicagoland’s Premier Mixed Martial Arts Promoter has announced a spectacular heavyweight main event between Maurice Green and Jeremy Moore at FCE 39/VENDETTA next Saturday night, April 16th at the SportsZone in Melrose Park, Illinois.

“It took us a bit longer than we would have liked, but we’re very proud to announce this terrific heavyweight bout between Maurice Green and Jeremy Moore” said Brian Angelo of Fight Card Entertainment.

”The FCE 39/Vendetta card was already full of terrific fights, but adding this main event truly takes it to a much higher level for the MMA fans of Chicagoland.”

‘The winner of this fight will have excellent opportunities ahead of him with Fight Card Entertainment so there is a great deal at stake for both of these warriors.”

Fighting out of nearby Evanston , Maurice Green returns to the Hexagon following a dominating TKO win over Jason Miller on February 24th at the last Fight Card Entertainment event held at Joe’s on Weed St. in Chicago.

Moore, of Streator, Illinois was a winner in his last outing in August 2009, forcing Christopher Roby to submit with an arm-triangle choke.

Also featured at FCE 39/Vendetta is a highly anticipated women’s bout between FCE fan favorite Esli Kilponen and Elizabeth Roig.

Kilponen made her name with Fight Card Entetainment in January 2008 when she fought in the company’s first women’s battle, beating Ashley Hartonovich with a rear naked choke.

Roig is coming off a sensational victory, forcing a first round tapout of Demi Chapman on November 20th at the American Predator Fight Club event.

Also at FCE 39/VENDETTA is a catch weight rematch at 150lbs. between  Ken Hansen of DeKalb , Illinois and Schiller Park ’s Zach Fernandez. Hansen won an earlier bout when former amateur standout Fernandez was forced to retire after suffering an asthma attack and fans have long hoped for a rematch to finally settle their score.

In a welterweight title eliminator to face the newly crowned Fight Card Entertainment Champion Danny Morales, Elgin’s Maurice Jackson will battle Joe Johnson of Merrillville, Indiana.

In the welterweight division, Lombard’s Yousef Al Goul will battle Larry Bonds of East Peoria.

Also at FCE 39/VENDETTA, a featherweight showdown will take place as Elmwood Park’s Bryan Ortiz will clash with Gerard Mills of Rockford, Illinois.

Middleweights will see action as Nick Sanchez will battle Joshua Hanafi of Westmont, Illinois.

Thirty nine year old Kevin Meloy of New Lennox, Illinois will make his cage debut against Dustin Webb of Mattoon, Illinois in a featherweight bout.

In the flyweight class, Josh French of the Plainfield/Joilet area will face off against Zion’s Corey Forshaw.

In the welterweight division at FCE 39/VENDETTA Robert Lewis of Merrillville, Indiana will challenge Franco Martinez of the “rough and tumble” Humboldt Park, Chicago neighborhood.

Lightweights will take to the Hexagon as Dan Rivas will battle Brookfield’s Hector Mercado.

Rounding out the card, bantamweights John Weinhurt of Lisle and Chicago’s Mike Hampton will also see action. .
