7x Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion and 2x Absolute Champion Rodrigo “Comprido” Medeiros will be teaching a 3 hour seminar on Saturday, October 30th at the Chicago Unified Mixed Martial Arts Training Academy (CUMMATA) in Elgin, IL. The seminar will cover Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques and will run from 11 AM until 2 PM on October 30th. Comprido is a leader of the BRASA team, and is a regular instructor at FLO MMA in Palatine , IL.

Recently, Comprido has been working extensively with UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar on his ground game. Lesnar credited his UFC 116 arm triangle submission win over Shane Carwin to the teachings of Comprido, and has continued to train with him for his upcoming title defense against Cain Velasquez at UFC 121 on October 23rd.

“I’m really confident in the work we’re doing with Brock. He’s in great shape and I’m confident it will be one of the best fights of his career. It will be a can’t-miss fight and will make the MMA history books,” Comprido told Gracie Magazine. Be sure to watch UFC 121 this weekend to see how Lesnar’s training with Comprido plays out in his Heavyweight Title Fight with Velasquez.
