Cut Throat MMA, one of the area’s top amateur Mixed Martial Arts promotions, will hold its first ever professional show with an amateur undercard on November 6, 2010 at the historic Hammond Civic Center in Hammond, Indiana.

The Hammond Civic Center has played host to many great boxing and MMA events. Various well-known fighters in the world’s top promotions began their careers with fights at this venue, including the UFC’s Clay Guida, Thiago Alves, and Stephan Bonnar, the WEC’s Miguel Torres and Bart Palaszewski, as well as Bellator’s Dan Hornbuckle and The Human Weapon’s Jason Chambers. Many of these fighters often return to the Civic Center as coaches and cornermen to help develop their local fighters into top-tier talent.

Supremacy’s main event will feature a bantamweight title fight between current champion Jake Nauracy, one of Miguel Torres’ proteges, who will take on talented challenger Mike Rzab, a fighter who has demonstrated the ability to finish his fights by submission, knock out, and TKO.

Another anticipated bout is the professional debut of former amateur Cut Throat bantamweight champion Dan Aguirre, who squares off against Torres Martial Arts fighter Dan Funes.  Aguirre’s teammate, Chris Haney out of Team No Ego, will face Jake Rosenbaum in a flyweight contest, and fan favorite Josh Shockley will take on BJJ ace Bob Reardanz in a featherweight bout.

Two former Chicago Golden Gloves Champions, Lawrence Dunning and female fighter AJ McAvoy, will be making their professional MMA debuts at Cut Throat MMA’s Supremacy. Dunning and McAvoy both train out of Valko Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Chicago and hold undefeated amateur records. McAvoy also works with Hall of Fame MMA coach Jeff Neal as well as renowned boxing coach Sam Colona.

Other local fighters reportedly on the card include Andrew Haney,  Eric Rasmussen, Jj Gilmer, John Cantu,  Ryan Storey, and more.
