markmillerTwo welterweights from the Chicagoland area will appear as cast members on the upcoming season 9 of The Ultimate Fighter.

Mark Miller (pictured), a former IFL veteran, trains at POW MMA. Miller owns wins over current UFC fighters Josh Neer and Brad Blackburn.

Kevin Knabjian, a former wrestler at  Eastern Illinois University (Matt Hughes’ Alma Mater), has experience fighting in the WEC as well as many of Chicagoland’s local organizations such as XFO and Primetime FC.

Season 9 of The Ultimate Fighter premiers April 1st on Spike TV. This installment of the popular reality series features a new set up, where 16 fighters from the USA will battle a team of 16 men from the United Kingdom. The show features 8 lightweights and 8 welterweights from each nation.

Team USA will be coached by former PRIDE champion Dan Henderson, while the team from the UK will be under the tutelage of England’s own Michael Bisping, winner of TUF 3.
